Valentine’s day is just around the corner. And in celebration of introvert love, I’m sharing 5 of my favorite introvert romantic movie moments of all time. From awkward first kisses, to heart-melting gestures, these moments will make you feel all warm ‘n’ fuzzy inside. For more movies to inspire introverts, check out this article.
#5 The Perks Of Being A Wallflower
In this scene, Sam gives Charlie an old typewriter as a gift. Like many quiet introverts, Charlie expresses himself best through the written word. He is an aspiring writer who knows that the most intimate space two people can share is between the sheets – of paper, that is. So, Sam’s gift to him goes straight to his heart.
#4 Harry Potter
Harry proves you don’t have to be a smooth talking extrovert to get the girl. A little bit of awkwardness can be endearing.
#3 500 Hundred Days of Summer
In this quirky little scene from 500 Days of Summer,Tom’s fantasies of reuniting with his ex-girlfriend do not match up to reality. This is something I’m sure a lot of daydreamy introverts can relate to.
#2 Benny and Joon
Joon and Sam have a deep connection that goes beyond words. In this scene, they use the languages of art and touch to express their affections. <3
#1 Amelie
Amelie is the ultimate romantic movie for introverts. In this scene, quirky and introverted Amelie shares silent kisses with the fantasy man she’s been searching for. This is just one of many scenes that shows that introverts can be dreamy, seductive and totally loveable.

Love,
Michaela – I like that: “In this scene, they use the languages of art and touch to express their affections.” –
I don’t care that much about “Valentine’s day” 😛 – but:
Something *wowtastic* happend to me (and I’m not the same as before!). I met a lady in the internet – she’s also INTROVERT and from California (I’m from Germany … hahahaha…minus 9 hours timelag, that’s only a question of organisation) … more I do not reveal 🙂 and I’m drawing und painting and I’m publishing drawings because I try to show her my feelings for her … here is an example http://matthias-talmeier.blogspot.de/2015/01/dreaming-of-love-sketchy-longings.html#links . – My art-blog is going to become nothing more as a “dedication for her”… … “Valentine’s day”??? … I don’t care …. hahahahaha…
– Matthias
P.S. We’re BOTH very shy ! – That’s not easy… 🙂
Awww, that is wonderful to hear Matthias! I’m happy for you. Love your art blog, by the way. You’re very talented! 🙂
You always leave Mr. bean out of your list. If you go through Romantic moments of Mr. Bean, you’ll see how cute his love life is.
Haha, thanks for the tip. I love Mr. Bean. 🙂
I am just watching The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I find the scenes between Walter and Cheryl to be a wonderful—almost instructional—example of an introvert employing his authentic self to build connection. I am not prone to emotional responses, but this one is leaving me a little verklempt.
I have to say that the last thing I expected from Walter Mitty was a lession in authenticity!
